June 27th – I Touched the Sea!

No, you’re not crazy. I did skip a day. The 26th was a rest day, so we didn’t make any photos. We enjoyed breakfast outside, sorted through photos read a book and played games. We hung out at the Cantina where we ate lunch, consumed plenty of iced tea and even a milkshake while watching the world go by and we hung out at the pool before going out again for dinner.

The 27th was a more active day. First we went for coffee with a friend. Today’s is the day I actually got to try Loukoumades. The little shop where we our friend had recommended we drink coffee makes the best Loukoumades in Lesbos. Our friend had arranged to have some without nuts made for us. So I ate them, got into a mess as the hot honey dripped everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed them along with the drinks and chat with out friend. All while looking out at the sea.

After coffee we packed a bag and made a long walk along the sea front to a beach where there’s also a restaurant. I enjoyed a cheesy bread thingy while Jessy nommed meatballs, then we went onto the beach so I could do something I haven’t done for 11 years. I got to stand in the sea! The lovely cool water felt fantastic as it flowed around my feet. A very enjoyable experience that I should not wait 11 years to do again!

After the long walk back along the sea front to Villa Vicky, we made use of the pool before playing a game. Then we went out to dinner. On the way back from dinner, we couldn’t help but stop to make another series of sunset shots. This time from the sea front instead of the peer. We even caught a couple cheeky shots of the moon on the way back to our room.
