King’s Day Flevotrucker’s Tour

I think the truck tour is one of my favorite parts of King’s day. Usually each driver plays chauffeur to a child – many of which have a disability. As they ride in the passenger seat, the trucks get in line and start their tour of the village. Honking their horns as they go. I love seeing the trucks up close and though the noise can be somewhat overwhelming, it always brings happy vibes as they pass.

I didn’t take my DSLR with me this time. There’s often a big crowd of enthousiastic people at the road side, waving to the truck drivers and their passengers as they pass. Not a good place for an expensive camera. So I set off with my phone and Jessy of course. We eventually found a quiet spot near a bus stop, where we had a front row view of the action.
